Microsoft SharePoint Master Page Conversion Bug-Fix

Objective

Troubleshoot and resolve a front-end display issue impacting a Microsoft SharePoint portal, which is caused during the creation of a customized SharePoint Master Page.

Background

• The default Ellucian-delivered Master page dispalyed issues with scrollbars and columns across all page layouts.
• The primary issues appeared linked to layout responsiveness, managed by the Bootstrap CSS library.
• Alternative SharePoint Master Pages underwent testing in the local installation, all functioning without encountering issues.
• Any modifications to the Ellucian-delivered custom HTML template led to the reappearance of scroll bar and layout challenges upon generating a master page.
• Challenges arose during the conversion of our HTML Master Page Template into the necessary .master file format for use within SharePoint on the local installation.
